Overview

Apiary uses Amazon Web Services Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) to deliver transactional and service-related emails to our registered users. This page explains what types of emails we send, why we send them, and how we ensure responsible email practices.

Our email communication is designed to support your use of the Apiary platform—not to market to you. Every email we send is directly tied to an action you take, an event in your account, or a system notification relevant to your use of our service.

How We Collect Email Addresses

Email addresses are collected through a single method: direct user registration. When you create an account on Apiary, you voluntarily provide your email address, full name, and accept our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Email Consent.

We do not:

Types of Emails We Send

All emails sent by Apiary fall into the following categories. Every email serves a legitimate business purpose related to your use of the platform.

Email Sending Infrastructure

Apiary uses Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) to deliver all transactional emails. Amazon SES is a cloud-based email sending service provided by Amazon Web Services, designed to help digital businesses send transactional and notification emails reliably and securely.

We chose Amazon SES because it provides:

Email Consent

During account registration, every user is required to explicitly agree to receive account-related emails. Our registration form includes a dedicated checkbox:

"I agree to receive account-related emails and service notifications from Apiary. This includes account verification, password reset, security alerts, order updates, and system notifications related to my use of the platform."

This consent is required to create an account because essential service communications (account verification, password reset, security alerts) cannot be delivered without it. Users understand this requirement before completing registration.

Managing Communication Preferences

Once logged in, users can manage their notification preferences from their Account Settings. You may enable or disable specific types of non-essential notifications while keeping critical security and account-related emails active.

To update your preferences:

  1. Sign in to your Apiary account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings
  3. Select "Notification Preferences"
  4. Toggle individual notification types on or off

Unsubscribing from Emails

If you no longer wish to use Apiary, you may delete your account at any time from your Account Settings page. Upon account deletion, your email address is removed from our active sending list, and you will no longer receive emails from us.

For privacy-related requests regarding your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy or contact us at privacy@apiary.web.id.
